Tent camping can be a very relaxing experience or it can be very frustrating! Camping is an experience that everyone should have at some point in their lives. Life is ridiculously hectic and camping can take us away from the stress of everyday life. However, you want to make sure that you do it right to make sure you have a restful experience. The key to this is to bring the right camping tent.

It is important to remember that the wrong camping tent could potentially ruin your entire trip while the right camping tent can help you to have a memorable and rewarding little vacation away from society. The most important thing for you to consider when choosing this all important tent is to get one that will comfortably fit you and whoever else will need to fit inside. There is nothing more uncomfortable than being squished like sardines into a small tent. Personally, if I don’t have a good night’s sleep then don’t even bother talking to me the next day. Allowing yourself and your companions plenty of room to sleep comfortably is the most important factor in choosing the right camping tent.

Unfortunately, tents are not cheap. While they are affordable to most people, they can also delve into the expensive price range. It is always tempting to purchase the least expensive item you can get away with, but as with everything else in life, “you get what you pay for.” In this case, you will likely walk away with a tent that isn’t going to stand up to the elements that Mother Nature may throw your way. Personal experience allows me to say that waking up to a tent full of water is not a fun time. While you may never need the extra protection against the wind and rain, it is always better to be prepared!

Many people are choosing to forego the tent camping experience in order to camp more comfortably in an RV or popup camper. But is that a real camping experience? I don’t think so but other people will have their own opinions! In order to make yourself more comfortable in your tent, bring other gear with you! If you must, an air mattress or foam pad is acceptable. At least you are still breathing in the fresh air all night.

Choosing the right camping tent is going to make your trip a much better experience. Comfort and functionality are key! Make sure that your tent is large enough for everyone to sleep in their own little space. Make sure that your tent will stand up to the weather. Overall, make sure that you will be comfortable in your surroundings. Camping and spending time in the outdoors will rejuvenate you and give you memories to last a lifetime.
